About
Quadeca is a rapper and producer who builds records that behave more like short films than singles. He writes, plays and produces almost everything himself, layering distorted guitar, glitching drum programming and soft folk textures under a voice that moves between rapping and singing without announcing the switch. The songs are assembled as collage, favouring feeling and contrast over neatness, and they borrow freely from rock, electronic music and Brazilian guitar traditions. The mixes stay deliberately rough wherever roughness carries the mood.
He came up posting music online and turned that audience into a recording career, beginning with Voice Memos. The records that followed pushed further out: I Didn't Mean to Haunt You is built around a ghost stuck between worlds, SCRAPYARD gathers fragments into something looser, and Vanisher, Horizon Scraper runs as a sea voyage. Across them he handles vocals, guitar, bass, piano, synth, percussion and drums, and he keeps outside input to a minimum so the ideas arrive intact.
Live, Quadeca performs with a band rather than to backing tracks, which pulls the studio collages back into something played rather than assembled. The arrangements get rebuilt for a room: the quiet passages are given space, the heavier ones are given weight, and the switches between rapping and singing land harder than they do on record. It suits listeners who follow albums closely and who like rap that is willing to sound like anything else.
