Masood Boomgaard

Masood Boomgaard is a South African stand‑up comedian, actor, and filmmaker of Indian descent, best known internationally for his viral parody self‑help guru character Self Help Singh. He’s been performing stand‑up for over a decade across South Africa and worldwide, creating solo shows like African Indian, Indians from Africa, Joker, and the lockdown special My Father’s House, while using Self Help Singh’s “de‑motivational” advice to spoof hustle culture, mental‑health clichés, and work/relationship struggles in both live shows and online videos.
