Robert Earl Keen

Robert Earl Keen’s live show is a relaxed, story-soaked Texas songwriter set where the talking is almost as important as the tunes: he unspools long, funny, self-deprecating tales that make songs like Corpus Christi Bay and Merry Christmas from the Fam-O-Lee hit even harder. Musically it’s warm, acoustic-driven country-folk with a tight band, sing-along choruses, and front-porch intimacy, so even in seated venues it feels like you’re just hanging out with a very witty friend who happens to have a deep catalog of classics.
