Sinatra Live - Starring Michael Sinatra

Michael Sinatra fronts a tribute to Frank Sinatra built entirely on the Great American Songbook, sung live with a band rather than to a backing track. It is a supper-club evening rather than an impersonation act: the standards are delivered straight, in the phrasing and swing of the era that produced them.

The repertoire runs through the songs that shaped mid-century American popular singing. Ballads rest on a single unhurried vocal line; the up-tempo numbers are written for horns and a rhythm section, and the Rat Pack material sits naturally alongside them. Sinatra works regularly with jazz ensembles and big bands, and the arrangements stay acoustic-forward, leaving the players audible behind the voice.
