Tim Baker

12 years after the start of the multi-award winning band Hey Rosetta!, something special happened, after selling 10,000 tickets for five farewell shows. The band's main songwriter and lead vocalist Tim Baker took this as the start of something new.

On his debut solo album Forever Overhead, the opening words of the first song welcome you warmly like a toast to an old friend, marking what follows are eleven songs that are sharply composed, and show that the heart of Hey Rosetta !, It is as affecting as ever. Baker was inspired by '70s songwriters like Jackson Browne and Randy Newman, who filled his childhood memories, bringing him home, as well as finding inspiration from his contemporaries (Feist, Leif Vollebekk, The Barr Brothers).

Produced by Marcus Paquin (The National, Local Natives), Forever Overhead combines piano ballads with lush folk-rock tracks featuring Liam O'Neill (Suuns), Ben Whiteley (The Weather Station), as well as Mishka Stein and Joe Grass ( Patrick Watson).
