Apocalyptica is a rock band founded by natives of Finland, performing metal on cellos, but at this stage of popularity, the artists have toured far beyond the borders of their native country. They started their way of success by performing cover versions of famous thrash metal bands. As a consequence, gaining more and more fans they decided to develop further and release their own material. The band without a doubt has its own unique energy, its own mood, its own spirit! The band's genre cannot be defined unequivocally, but most often it is described as symphonic metal or cello metal.
