About
The band led by the charismatic Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters announces with great fanfare their return to our country. For this new visit, the creators of hits such as Everlong, Best Of You, All My Life and Learn To Fly will arrive with their most recent album, Medicine At Midnight, their tenth studio album. After being the first band to reopen New York's Madison Square Garden after the suspension of activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees Foo Fighters are returning to Mexico. For the third time and to the delight of their thousands of fans, they will present a good dose of rock and roll and celebrate 26 years of life in the music industry. The last time they performed in our city was when they headlined the 2017 edition of the Corona Capital festival. Medicine At Midnight is an approach to quieter sounds and with touches of funk. In fact, in the words of the members themselves "this album is a great twist and a big bet, where they flirt with disco and dancefloor music". Undoubtedly, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Taylor Hawkins and Rami Jafee stepped out of their comfort zone to create an album that will surely become a masterpiece. So far the singles that have been released from this album are Shame Shame Shame. No Son Of Mine (which is a tribute to the late Mötorhead vocalist Lemmy Kilmister) and Waiting On A War, (which is inspired by Grohl's childhood and the fear he had of nuclear war). Parallel to the release of this production, the band unveiled the reversion of the iconic hit, You Should Be Dancing, by the Australian band Bee Gees. The Foo Fighters story began in 1994. In 1995 came their eponymous debut album, which had the hit This Is A Call, which earned them a large and solid fan base. Their second album, The Colour And The Shape, appeared in 1997. Their third studio material was called There Is Nothing Left To Lose. With their next production, One By One, the band reached the pinnacle of success. In Your Honor, their fifth studio material and first double (one full of rock and the other acoustic), was released in 2005. It also featured collaborations with Norah Jones, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) and Josh Homme (QOTSA). This was followed by Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, in 2007. A year later, they released their live material Skin And Bones and in 2009 came their first and only Greatest Hits material. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
