Norma

Norma is a woman torn between two worlds. As a chaste Druid priestess in an occupied land, she holds the power to decide between war and peace. Yet, she is also the secret lover of the Roman general Pollione, with whom she has two children. When Pollione confesses his intent to leave her for a younger priestess, Adalgisa, and return to Rome, Norma's double life teeters on the brink of exposure.

The agonizing conflict between love and vengeance, religion and reason, and her own traditions versus the empire nearly drives Norma to commit an unthinkable act. But in the end, she chooses a path that is no less radical.
