Les Contes d'Hoffmann

"The Tales of Hoffmann" is an opera based on three stories by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann, who was both a composer, a lawyer, a writer, and a poet. The opera is not an easy one for the performers. But they love it! Well, no kidding, the entire opera was immediately sold out as a hit piece for singers.

The fantastical visions and nightmares of a brilliant artist suffering without love, blindly seeking sympathy where there is none and cannot be, while overlooking the faithful Muse, both entertain and horrify the audience. People and puppets, love and mysticism. "Hoffmann's Tales" is an encyclopedia of the mental states of any Creator...

The mysterious world of the author is revealed step by step in the beautiful music of Offenbach.
