The Oppressed is a Welsh punk band formed in the early 1980s as a vehicle for Roddy Moreno, an outspoken advocate for racial unity within the skinhead and Oi! communities. The group released its music through Moreno’s Oi! Records label and became closely associated with the S.H.A.R.P. (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice) movement. After disbanding when Moreno shifted his focus to activism, The Oppressed reunited in 2000 to re-release earlier work and create new material under his leadership.
