Martin McAloon

Martin McAloon is an English bassist, guitarist, and singer best known as a founding member of the British pop/rock band Prefab Sprout, formed with his brother, songwriter Paddy McAloon, in the late 1970s. In recent years he has launched a solo touring career, performing stripped‑back shows across the UK and Ireland in which he sings and plays Prefab Sprout material—especially songs from classic albums like Steve McQueen—on his own with an acoustic guitar, celebrating the band’s legacy for new and long‑time fans.
