Vashti Bunyan

Vashti’s journey is a tale of missed opportunities, disillusionment, and eventual rediscovery. In the '60s, she was hailed as the next Marianne Faithful or female Bob Dylan but faced unfulfilled promises and a disheartening rejection from the music industry.

Decades later, a resurgence of interest in her work emerged online, prompting Vashti to reclaim her music. Re-releasing "Just Another Diamond Day" after almost three decades brought widespread critical acclaim, securing its place among the top British albums. Her influence resonated with a new generation of artists, leading to collaborations with notable names like Piano Magic, Simon Raymonde of The Cocteau Twins, Devendra Banhart, and Animal Collective.
